Digestive Irregularities After a Meal
Organic peppermint, raw ginger slices, and roasted/raw fennel seed mix can offer relief
Organic peppermint, raw ginger slices, or a roasted/raw fennel seed mix helps bring balance to digestive irregularities after a meal, allowing the stomach to process the meal more efficiently.
Preparation: Roasted/raw fennel seed mix requires a little preparation: take a unit of organic (preferred) fennel seeds and divide into two portions, place one portion into a pan and roast to golden brown in an oven being careful not to burn the seeds, stir them occasionally to give a golden brown consistency thoughout; when golden brown, remove the seeds from oven and mix in the other raw portion. Roasting the seeds adds flavour. Chew a teaspoon of seeds to aid digestion.
Retail Source: Fennel seeds can be bought online or at the Bulk Barn or any large grocery store. They, however, may not be organic. Natural mints (not synthetic mint) are common in stores or online. Raw fresh ginger (not powdered) can be found in grocery stores.
Cause: Digestive irregularities after a meal are common and can be attributed to eating incompatible foods, caused by enzymes and acids opposing each other. For example, eating cooked and raw vegetables (salad) at the same time. It takes different enzymes to process cooked vs raw vegetables. Other examples are eggs and milk, coffee or tea with milk or cream, milk and fruits, fruits with meals, and hot and cold foods together.
Solution: For example, eat the salad first, let it digest, then eat the rest of the meal. Find out which foods are incomparable and eat them separately to avoid or reduce digestive issues.
